Abstract

The pupose of the study was to utilize the complementary data for sound intensity. To examine the distribution of the sound pressure level in accordance with various frequencies at the worksite and the measurement of personal noise dose and the
correlationship between the level of hearing loss and the sound pressure level in frequency. This investigation towards metalgoods manufacturing factory located in Kyung-Nam area, was proceeded for 6 months from July 1994 to December 1994.
@ES The results were as followed.
@EN 1. The dB(A) was appeared higher than the dB(C) at the frequency over 1KHz. this one proved the fact that the SPL of high frequency had a primary role.
2. The distribution of hearing loss had a model in the duration of noise-exposure by the frequency band, the more exposed in long period. The threshold of hearing spreaded around 4KHz domain.
3. There was close correlation between the level of hearing loss with the exposured period and the SPL at the worksite. 0.77 (P<0.05) for under 4 years and 0.84 (P<0.01) for over 5 years.
4. According to the noise dose of worker. L50 was 95.5dB in the Hat process and 94.0dB in the Nut-former, which these values exceeded 85dB(A) that were required from the Hearing Conservation Programs of the OSHA.
